Art So Far

My pic that I chose I think is the best I've done so thats why I chose it but the reason why I chose "Autumn Leaves" by Diane Romanello is because it's just so pretty.  These are nothing alike at all. Mine is odd colors close up and not that great but hers is a landscape beautiful and magical looking. In my list I had flowers and I also had the color of leaves in the fall so they both fit into my list and hers looks like its from a fairy tail and I really like fairy tails.

Artists born in same Month

Mary Cassatt born May 22, 1844.  American impressionist painter, known for bold composition and fine detail in oil paintings of children and mothers.  This is called "Francoise Holding a Little Black Dog.  I chose her because I think she's an amazing artist her paintings look so life like. Other artists born in May Salvador Dali, Keith Haring, Edwin Frederic Church, Georges Braque, Thomas Gainsborough, Jasper Johns, Henri Rousseau, and Ellsworth Kelly.

"Personal Stories"

My earliest memory is when I was 2 1/2 years old believe it or not.  As you can imagine I cant remember much.  The memory is from the only time I've been to the zoo.  It was a white circular room with cages all around it filled with different kinds of animals.  I don't remember what animals though.

I can't remember a specific story that involves art.  But my mom has always done artsy crafty things with us kids so she's the one who got me into art.

How I could use this story in an art piece?  Well I could always draw of make something from my childhood.         

Red Rose

The hand and rose were done in charcoal, and the background is acrylic paint. I think that it turned out ok. Certain parts of the charcoal could've have been blended better; but overall I like it.

"Artist Statement"

I may not be the best artist but I love to draw and paint.  I'm not a huge fan of colored pencils though I just cant make it ever turn out right.  I like using charcoal, pen, pencil, ..... It's fun to work with most medias.

I don't know a lot about art history so I don't have a favorite artist yet but I'll start looking.  I I also don't know rely where I get my inspiration so I'll have to think about that more.

I don't have huge plans for my future in art.  I think I'll probably just do it as a hobby through out my life and try to get better.  Who knows maybe some people will like my art and if they do I'll change my plans and have a career in art.  But my plans for now are to become an Accountant.
